Went to the dealership to get some shims for the front brakes on the Evo. Basic parts that one would want to have around for a brake job and the dealership doesn't have them. Probably wouldn't be able to get them until Friday. You don't have parts to support a brake job on one of your products? Reminds me why I stopped going to a dealership.

Come on now it's Mitsubishi, they gave up on trying a while ago.

Sad but true. These are the anti-sequel shims and they are in rough shape after 10 years and 140k. Ordered on the aftermarket.

That's good, because the sequel always sucks anyways. Think about it: "Brake Job 2, No One Pads MY Bill!"

don't evo's have factory brembos that would be shared with no other car that mitsubishi makes? I mean its kind of understandable that they wouldn't stock a part that they might sell like once every 2 months, but I know how frustrating it is to work with the dealer parts dept on little BS items.

Just like Mitsubishi...

True, but the pads are common with the VIII and IX, so there are a few around.

I went to a Mitsu dealer to have some work done. They were saying come back later, blah blah. When I pushed it's a simple job, just do it real quickly they admitted they didn't have any Mitsu techs there that day. Wait what? No techs at a Mitsu dealer? I never went back and now the car is gone no more Mitsus for me. I liked the car but not the support.
